VICELAND X Mediacom @ The Iowa State Fair

To help VICELAND’s client and affiliate partner Mediacom promote their new integrated platform Xtream, the VICELAND Bus headed to Iowa where it made an impactful debut at The Iowa State Fair.

The challenge was creating a family-friendly activation that was also authentic to the irreverent spirit and tongue-in-cheek humor of the VICELAND Bus. So, we swapped hotboxing sessions inside the bus for an airbrush tattoo station. We opted out of our bass heavy DJ sets and hosted an acoustic hip-hop sing-a-log instead. We also softened down our usual pot-forward messaging and social captions to endless butter references.

In my down time from managing the client and activation, I ran several miles around the fair each day capturing instagram content about food on sticks and contextualizing it to our voice. Instagram coverage from the @vicelandbus account reached over 800,000 people with 1MM impressions throughout both days.
